I founded Exercise Easy to deliver strength and fitness training
for anyone who would like to enjoy good health, fitness and
independence well into mature age.
As far back as my childhood, I have always enjoyed sport
(netball, running, swimming); as a teenager I was passionate about
kayak racing and was Australian champion.
I have completed 3 marathons over the last 3 years and fully
understand the discipline of training. Just to be extreme, I took
up paragliding so I could feel like a bird. I don’t believe we are
ever too old for anything as long as we have our health.
I’m now at a stage where I would like to share my life
experience and help others achieve their goals. Not necessarily to
run marathons, but more importantly to achieve good health, fitness
and independence.
Taking up exercise is not easy if you’ve never been keen on it
and the thought of joining a gym is daunting. However, with
guidance you can improve your fitness level, and build up your
self-esteem and confidence – even after just a few weeks of gentle
exercise.
We have a large, aging population who have never exercised, with
many now having to cope with various disorders, such as balance,
Type II diabetes and cardiovascular and weight issues.
Do you want the confidence to enjoy all the activities of daily
living?
It is never ever too late! Exercise Easy will give you the
incentive, guidance and motivation to get into shape no matter what
condition you are in.
I have experience in running strength training classes for Type
II diabetics, run Nordic walking classes, individual and group
personal training as well as run exercise classes to music at
retirement villages and neighbourhood house centres.
I have special training to deliver exercise for Parkinson’s and
stroke recovery as well as certification by the International
Diabetes Institute to deliver LIFT FOR LIFE Progressive Strength
Training for Type II diabetes.
