What is Nordic walking?
Nordic
walking is fitness walking with specially designed poles for a
low-stress workout. It can be done anywhere and by almost anyone.
Some training is required to ensure correct technique is applied so
as to obtain the full benefits.
History of Nordic walking
Nordic walking started in Finland in the early 20th century as a
summer training exercise for cross-country skiers. They walked with
ski poles to copy the cross-country technique in order to maintain
their physical fitness.
